Blessing of the Animals set for Oct. 6

The annual Blessing of the Animals will take place Sunday October 6 at 4 p.m. in front of St. Christopher’s at the Crossroads Episcopal Church. All pets are welcome, including stuffed animals!

Please keep dogs on a leash, and consider a pet carrier if your small animal is anxious around crowds.

It’s also a great time to remember animals currently in shelters, and those who care for them.

Donations of dog or cat food will be delivered to the Friends of Perry Animal Shelter.

Whether you have a pet or not, we hope you’ll join us for this fun event.

O God, help us to treat with compassion the living creatures entrusted to our care, that they may not suffer from neglect nor become the victims of any harm; and grant that in caring for them we may find a deeper understanding of your love of all creation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
