ReviveATL Watch Party - Love in Action

About a dozen members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Fort Valley joined members of St. Christopher’s at the Crossroads for a ReviveATL watch party on Wednesday January 22 in St. Christopher’s parish hall.

Despite a few data streaming problems, attendees were inspired by the music, testimony, and preaching offered during the revival.

We also enjoyed chili with all the fixings, sandwiches, desserts, and snacks. Thanks to all who generously provided food and helped with hospitality. Thanks especially to Shane Bell for technical assistance for the presentation.

ReviveATL urged Christians to sow the love of Jesus in a broken world. Through their testimony, members of the Diocese of Atlanta shared their experiences of what Love in Action looks like for children, refugees, prisoners, and veterans of our country. Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry and Bishop Rob Wright called us to open our hearts, minds, and doors to the concerns of our state and our country, and especially to people who feel vulnerable and unwelcome.

Presiding Bishop Curry has called the whole church to take its place in The Way of Love: the community of people who follow Jesus and form loving, liberating and life-giving relationships with God, their neighbors, and the environment.
