Alternate Sermon for Sunday Sept. 27

“A man had two sons … ”

“A man had two sons … ”

My ministry of the Diaconate is described as itinerate.  This is especially true for me during odd scheduling of services via electronic means with St. Christopher’s, All Saints, and St. Francis.

I was on schedule to share a sermon at St. Francis this last Sunday, September 27.  Through the magic of electronics, Rev. Shirley and I had an idea to share this sermon with you.  Therefore, you can pick up the sermon within a worship service link or a recorded sermon link at the listed sites below.  Since you may be picking up the recording after September 27, I would like to remind you of the scripture readings for that Sunday:

O.T.: Exodus 17:1-7 or
Ezekiel 18:1-4, 25-32
Psalm: 78:1-4, 12-16 or 25:1-8
Epistle: Philippians 2:1-13
Gospel: Matthew 21:23-32

(You can find these readings on the Lectionary Page here.)

I invite you to read the scripture or listen to the readings on the recording first, as is our liturgical custom before proceeding to listen to the recorded sermon.

Deacon, St. Christopher’s
